Meeting Notes Friday, June 5
Congratulation to Andhi & to all of our graduating members today, June 7! Remember, just because you leave SCC, does not mean you leave Project Pride Club. Once a member, you’re a member for life. Alumni are a very real part of us & we wouldn’t be the same without you. With that said, go into the world spreading the message of diversity with love & peace!
For our final spring quarter meeting, we had our infamous Gay Bingo Day with the full opportunity for fun, to be ourselves, & to win Bingo Prizes.

Advisor Rachel even won at a game of Bingo, quickly snatching up the prized & queerly intimate love making squirrels. It's understood that Rachel plans to proudly display this item on her desk.
Other prizes given out included a CD (aptly titled "Pride") & a bag of pencils, among other useful items. Please know that the club is officially on break for 2+ weeks & will resume on Thursday, June 25, same time, same place.

Meeting Notes Friday May 22
May 15, 2009
Friday's meeting was a reflection of recent past events.
- Our awesome togetherness at Club Expo.
- The historical documentry film of Before Stonewall presented by Josef & Alyse at our Awareness Event.
- We also discussed how to collaborate effectively to be ready for our next big event, Pride Parade.
Two meetings are left for Spring Quarter. The first will be a recap of Spring's club involvement as well as the survey results recently gathered from our campus population. The final Spring meeting will be our infamous Gay Bingo.
Have a rainbow week & we'll see you this Friday, same time, same place.

Meeting Notes Friday May 15
On another note, Amelia sent us this exciting news from her home country:
Hey Club,
While things progress in the U.S. they do in Colombia as well. I'm sending you the Spanish articles for those of you who read Spanish.

For the first time in history the Colombian National Police recognized a homosexual partner of one of their members and allowed him to get the same health benefits, and other benefits any other partner would.
By the way.. Gay marriage is still not legal in Colombia, but some kind of domestic partnership (unión de hecho) does and that's a Big one for a LatinAmerican country!

I can't make it tomorrow, but just thought this would be a good thing to share.

Amelia

Meeting Notes Friday May 8
With glitter & paint we decorated our tie-dyed t-shirts.
No mistaking us as the Project Pride Club.

It was an awesome time with visitors helping to decorate.
We enjoyed meeting Alyse's mom & we welcomed home
our alumni past president Addy.

Remember, this Friday, we meet at the same time but different place- its the Club Expo
located in the PUB dining room. Wear your club t-shirts & join us as
we have another gay day on campus!

Meeting Notes of Friday, May 1
Friday we had a productive meeting. It was Part 1 in preparing for Club Expo. Joy showed the gals just how to make rainbow beaded necklaces for all. Ariana & Andhi created our out & loud club poster. ("more glitter, more glitter~!") This & campy music & we're almost ready for Club Expo.
Part 2 of our art extravaganza happens next Friday. That's when we will decorate our Project Pride Club Tshirts. Between now & Friday, if you'd like to help Alyse tye-die the tshirts, please let her know.
Mark your calendars for Club Expo, happening the afternoon of Friday, May 15. We'll wear our club Tshirts, hang our loud poster & dazzle all with our rainbow beads. Keep cleaning out your rainbow drawers for us to have fun with your toys at the Expo. That & we'll be passing out free condoms, courtesy of the Women's Center.
See you this Friday, same time, same place!
